How can I book an Ojas Sauna experience?

You can easily book your experience online through the Ojas Sauna website. Simply select your preferred experience (Exclusive Hire or Sauna Social), choose your preferred date and time, and complete payment to secure your booking.

How much does an Ojas Sauna experience cost?

Exclusive Hire: Private access to our traditional Finnish sauna, two ice baths and an outdoor shower for one hour, is priced at £70 for up to six guests.

Sauna Social: Meet and heat by booking a seat in one of our sauna social sessions! Enjoy access to our traditional Finnish sauna, two ice baths and an outdoor shower for one hour, for up to five individuals from the community. A seat is priced at £13.50.

How can I amend my booking?

Cancellations and requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled Ojas Sauna experience to receive a refund or to schedule an alternative date. 
Refunds will not be provided for cancellations if less than 48 hours’ notice is given, and rescheduling requests are not permitted with less than 48 hours’ notice.
You will be able to amend your booking via the booking confirmation email issued, which will direct you to reschedule.

What is the Ojas Sauna cancellation policy?

Are there any age restrictions?

Regrettably, individuals under the age of 16 are not permitted to book an Ojas Sauna experience.

What should I do if I have a medical condition?

We recommend seeking advice from a medical practitioner prior to booking an Ojas Sauna experience for health concerns, including but not limited to the following;
  • If you're pregnant.
  • If you've had a heart attack or stroke.
  • If you're taking any medications.
  • If you have cardiovascular conditions and/or problems, including taking blood pressure medications and having a pacemaker or defibrillator. 
  • If you have epilepsy.
  • If you suffer from diabetes. 
  • If you have asthma or breathing conditions.
  • If you have high or low blood pressure.
  • If you have arterial disease.
  • If you have joint or muscle injury.

Please listen to your body during the Ojas Sauna experience, take regular breaks, rest and speak to an Ojas Sauna operator if you have any concerns.

What should I wear?

  • We recommend comfortable clothing that allows for easy changing.
  • Swimwear is required in the sauna and ice baths, nudity is not permitted.

Can I bring my own essential oils or products into the sauna?

  • We kindly ask that you do not bring personal essential oils, products, or lotions into the sauna. This policy is in place to protect other guests who may have allergies, to prevent potential reactions with the heat, and to reduce the risk of creating slippery surfaces.

Can I bring alcohol to an Ojas Sauna experience?

  • We kindly ask that you do not bring alcohol into the sauna, as it is not permitted. Ojas Sauna is focused on providing a wellbeing experience for all guests. 
  • Please note that our operators reserve the right to refuse admission to individuals who appear intoxicated.

What is the Ojas Sauna etiquette policy?

All guests are required to adhere to the Ojas Sauna etiquette policy at all times.
  • Please arrive having recently showered; cool showers are only available for rinsing.
  • Please enter and exit the sauna with care; one person at a time.
  • Please keep the door/exit clear to allow for safe entry/exit.
  • Please remove any shoes and wash feet in the bucket provided prior to entering the sauna. 
  • Please sit on a towel within the sauna; please bring two towels (one to sit on in the sauna and one for drying).
  • Ojas Sauna recommends staying in the sauna for no longer than 20 minutes at a time; 5-15 minute sessions are encouraged.
  • Please do not use personal essential oils, products or lotions in the sauna.
  • Nudity is not permitted in the sauna; swimwear must be worn at all times.
  • Please gently pour water onto the sauna stove and use only the ‘sauna water’ provided.
  • Please do not take glassware into the sauna.
  • Please rinse using the cool shower prior to use of the ice bath.
  • Ojas Sauna recommends arriving in easy, comfortable clothing to allow for a quick change. 
  • Please respect personal space; maintain a respectful distance from other guests to ensure everyone feels comfortable.
  • Avoid loud conversations; keep noise levels to a minimum. 
  • Avoid using phones or electronic devices; this is a time for relaxation.
  • Time for changing is included within the 1 hour experience booking. The Ojas Sauna operator will provide you with 10 minutes notice, to ensure adequate time to exit the sauna and use changing facilities.
  • All guests are expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards Ojas Sauna operators and other guests. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.

What health and safety measures are in place at Ojas Sauna?

  • At Ojas Sauna, your health, safety, and wellbeing are our top priorities. Our facilities are regularly cleaned and maintained, and we conduct thorough health and safety risk assessments to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
  • Ojas Sauna operates with a 15 minute period between bookings to allow for cleaning of the sauna and ice baths. This ensures adequate time to brief guests and answer any guests questions without rushing to commence the next session!

What Health and training have the Ojas Sauna operators completed?

  • All Ojas Sauna operators have completed ‘emergency first aid at work training’ and ‘mental health first aiders training’ with the British Red Cross.
  • If you wish to see a copy of the operators certificate, please don’t hesitate to ask prior to your Ojas Sauna experience commencing or in advance via email hello@ojassauna.co.uk

Are Ojas Sauna Gift Vouchers available?

  • Yes! Gift vouchers for specific monetary values are available to purchase on our booking system. Please visit 'book' and 'gift vouchers' to purchase.

Yes, parking is available on site at Oxmoor Farm.

Do you have changing facilities?

Yes, we provide dedicated indoor changing facilities for Ojas Sauna guests, along with shared toilet facilities with the Oxmoor Farm Barn. Please note that the use of the changing facilities is included within your one-hour booking. An Ojas Sauna operator will notify you with a medicinal drum, when you have ten minutes remaining in your session.

Where can I leave my belongings?

During your Ojas Sauna experience, you will be able to leave personal possessions in the changing facilities.

How many individuals does the sauna hold?

Ojas Sauna has a maximum capacity of six individuals in any session.

What do I need to bring?

Ojas Sauna recommends bringing the following items for your experience:
Two towels: One to sit on in the sauna and another for drying.
Suitable swimwear.
A water bottle to stay hydrated.
Flip flops or sliders for easy transit from the changing room to the sauna / ice bath.
A robe (such as a dry robe or beach bum robe) if you have one.
Warm, loose clothing for after your experience, especially during the winter months.

What are the hours of operation?

Ojas Sauna is currently open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 08:00 to 20:15. If you have a booking request outside of these hours, please contact us at hello@ojassauna.co.uk, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What do the experiences include?

Both the Exclusive Hire and Sauna Social experiences include one hour of access to our traditional Finnish sauna, two ice baths, an outdoor shower, and changing facilities. Please note that the use of the changing facilities is included within your one-hour booking.

What are the themes of the Sauna Socials?

We offer a variety of themed Sauna Social sessions! During the booking process, you will be informed if a particular session has a theme, such as:
  • Mixed gender.
  • Female only.
  • Male only.
  • Silent Sauna Social.
  • Essential Oil scented.

The Ojas Sauna Experience 

Are sessions weather dependant? 

  • Ojas Sauna operates year-round, and sessions are not cancelled due to weather conditions unless a government weather warning is issued. Please check your emails and the Ojas Sauna website for any updates regarding cancellations.

Will I be sharing the sauna and or ice bath?

  • If you book a Sauna Social, there will be a total of six individuals booked onto the session.
  • If you book Exclusive Hire, only members of your party (a maximum of six individuals) will be able to use the sauna during the session.

How long should I stay in the sauna or ice bath?

  • We recommend spending 15-20 minutes in the sauna followed by a brief cold water immersion (typically 1-3 minutes). Please listen to your body and take a break at any point if you feel uncomfortable.

Does Ojas Sauna have sand timers?

  • Yes, there is a sand timer within the sauna to communicate 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes. 
  • There is a free standing sand timer located at the ice baths to line 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 minutes

What time should I arrive?

  • Please arrive promptly at time of your booking for a briefing prior to the session commencing. 
  • Ojas Sauna operates with a 15 minute period between bookings to allow for cleaning of the sauna and ice baths and to ensure adequate time to brief guests and answer any guests questions without rushing to commence the next session.
  • Please note, use of the changing facilities is included within the one hour booking and an Ojas Sauna operator will advise when you have ten minutes remaining of your session.
  • If you arrive late, the duration of your booking cannot be extended and will end at the original time. Please plan to arrive promptly.
